On this first solo album I consciously experimented with pop forms, and full arrangements, as well as a repeated blues chord structure. The vocals are unusually weak throughout, as I hadn’t yet discovered a good non-rock singing style for my voice. The last song uses a refrain from one of my friend Chris Weyer’s songs. I added the verses and arrangement. I hope he doesn’t mind. If you only listen to one song, listen to number nine, “national geographic.” It’s about being an anthropologist.
